Government Architect NSW are the principal partner of Sydney Open 2023.
The role of the Government Architect and their office was established in NSW in 1816. Initially known as the Colonial Architect, the role has been central to the development of the built environment and synonymous with the design of public buildings and advocacy for amenity in the public realm in NSW.
Now known as Government Architect NSW, the office provides strategic design leadership in architecture, urban design and landscape architecture. In this role, Government Architect NSW supports the NSW Government in delivering quality, managing risk and fostering innovation to maximise public value in the built environment.
